Ph.D., Headmaster Designate of Ikenobo
Senko Ikenobo is Headmaster Designate of Ikenobo, which has a history of over 555 years and is the origin of one aspect of Japanese traditional culture, ikebana. She serves as Vice Head Priest of Shiunzan Chohoji (Rokkakudo) temple in Kyoto, and Honorary Consul of Iceland. In 2013, she conducted an ikebana workshop at Harvard University and performed a floral offering ceremony at the United Nations Headquarters.
The spirit of ikebana teaches us to live life to the full. From this perspective, I hope to help the children of the world smile, realize their own unique characteristics and strengths, and have hope for the future.
